I’m not a coder enough to fully understand all of this, but I was reading this article this morning and it made me think about your notes on rendering your improved blur as well.
Just wanted to say I really enjoy your newsletter and the space you have created for sharing! Love the work and love reading your writings about your process and all the things!
Thanks for sharing Amy! I'm usually a quiet reader but wanted to say that your website blog and your substack newsletter is what encouraged me to tinker around and get back in coding after forever (I work in texh but in product). Alll of your in progress posts always motivate me to crack back open a half baked sketch again and are always a delight to read.
These grids definitely make me think “whoa, cool”!
Success!

Thanks so much, I really appreciate you saying, and I'm glad you enjoy!
Neat solution for the neon-sign-problem! I was thinking how could I replace the blurring effect on p5.js.
Thanks! I think adding a layer of white in as well will make it extra glowy, but I need to fiddle about with it some more!
glowwwwwwww. ✨✨✨ This is ace!
Always sharing smart ideas! It's a pleasure, thanks a lot!
